Introduction

Americana opened the doors to its first Pizza Hut in 1979 in Abu Dhabi bringing with it a wealth of delicious world-famous pizzas and side items. Since then, Americana has expanded the brand by opening more stores across the UAE, and soon after, opening its doors to eager customers in Bahrain, Jordan, and Egypt. With over 200 stores, Americana is the single largest operator of Pizza Hut in the region serving over 5.6 million pizzas a year to its loyal customers. Crafting up all this great food requires a capable workforce and Americana currently employs over 5,000 members of staff.

Every pizza that comes out of a Pizza Hut oven is handcrafted to order with only the finest ingredients. High-protein wheat is milled in consistent flour that is turned into our world-famous dough in as little as 24 hours. Immediately after sourcing, Grade-A milk is turned into the freshest mozzarella cheese it can possible be. Vine-ripened tomatoes are handpicked to make pizza sauce that is unique to Pizza Hut. All ingredients are hand-tossed on our dough, baked in our ovens, and sliced the traditional way.

History

The Pizza Hut story begins in May of 1958 when two brothers borrowed 600 USD from their mother, and opened their first pizza parlor in Wichita, Kansas. Dan and Frank Carney, along with their friends Richard Beemer and John Bender, made the pizza themselves. The Carneys created an innovative, high quality, engaging, informal eating experience in a friendly neighborhood restaurant. Pizza Hut became a popular place with the teenage and college crowd and attracted families that enjoyed a night out eating a meal that they would not be having at home.
